Mark's talent as a horse trainer is based in his experience from a variety of equestrian disciplines. Although Mark's most recent success is in the Show Jumping arena, his Three Day Eventing background grounded Mark in Dressage and Roads and Tracks. From 1979 to 1984, Mark represented the United States for Eventing. In 1982 he was an Alternate for the U.S. at the World Championships held in Germany. He rode in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles as an Eventer, only to return 20 years later in Athens to compete on his horse, Sapphire, in the Show Jumping in 2004.
Mark's passion for horses and for teaching riders is evident in his ability to work with a broad range of clients from burgeoning grand prix riders to young beginners and adult amateurs.
Mark regularly competes in the grand prix arena. His regular trips around the grand prix ring make it easy for him to communicate with clients about strategy and approach in the show ring and give him a well earned advantage in training and showing his clients' horses.
Heather Chatham

Heather was born and raised in Pebble Beach, CA and has ridden and shown horses her entire life. Heather rode on the Equestrian Team at Kansas State University and returned to California after college. Heather came on board as an assistant trainer for the barn in 2008 and is an energetic and gifted addition to the team. Heather has been bringing along her talented young jumper "Captain Hook" and will continue to show him in the 7 & 8 year old jumper division and the Futures division in 2010.
Heather says, "I love my job! There is nothing else in the world I would rather do! I am a stickler though! I expect my students to know their stuff!" Chatham assigns homework and also encourages the students to keep a journal of training strategies they have learned.
